#Courage

Courage, I read, is not

the absence of fear.

Neither is it devoid

of any anxiety.

Little to do with ego,

much to do with faith at

the face of adversity.

Gracious even with

the knowledge of a foe

in friendships trusting mask.

Courage is when you stand up

for yourself. That’s it.

That’s enough. Stop.

I will not let you drag me down.

But a hero… a hero knows

there’s nothing to gain, yet

fights for the thankless.
