Worker

If the mark of a leader

is to not falter from learning new,

then mark of a worker

is to not falter from overwork.

Wake-up, brush-up, shower-up: Go!

Body-ache, muscle-cramps, tiredness

doesn’t help so…

Work, work, bills are waiting –

smoke floating, train to catch.

Nothing more definite than

end of month, roaring stomach

and a clenched palm full of sand.
