The reason is not unemployment
for no unemployed would sit at home
at their own bidding.
No unemployed wish to stay idle,
nor wish to stay insecure.
Perhaps arrange for them an occupation?
Of course, you would argue –
“Look! At the corner of the road
they are seated on a rock, eating alur-chop!
Aren’t they comfortable and well
if they can fleet-away their hours,
discussing politics and eating all day?”
Minister, if one could sell alur-chop
to survive and support their household
then why don’t you leave your job
and fry some alur-chop instead?
